Returns & Warranty

Current version: 10 September 2026

VoltTech's policy is to deal with faults and returns fairly while preserving the statutory rights that apply to South African consumers.

Services

Services must be performed with the quality and care required by applicable consumer law. If a service does not meet an applicable statutory standard, the available remedy will depend on the circumstances and the law.

Goods and parts

Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, goods may carry the statutory implied warranty of quality, generally for six months. Repaired goods and new or reconditioned parts installed during repair may also carry the separate statutory repair warranty, generally for three months, subject to the Act and circumstances such as misuse or abuse.

Change-of-mind returns

VoltTech does not promise a blanket change-of-mind return right for every product or service. Any right to cancel or return will be handled according to the transaction, applicable law and any disclosed supplier/special-order conditions. This does not remove statutory cooling-off or return rights where they apply.

Special-order and customised goods

Items acquired or made specifically to a customer's specifications may be treated differently under applicable law. Any material restriction will be disclosed before the order is finalised.

Warranty assessment

VoltTech may reasonably inspect or test returned equipment to determine the fault and appropriate remedy. Manufacturer or supplier warranties can add to, but do not replace, statutory rights.
